There is a food bank in Hamilton Township (in operation since 2006) located in the Bewdley Community Centre…
  • that is operated and run entirely by volunteers, about 25 of them
  • that receives no funding from governments or United Way
  • that has served nearly 400 households to date this year and serves 60 to 70 households per week, touching 120 to 190 men, women and children weekly
  • that, each year, prepares Christmas hampers, including personalized gifts for children, for up to 140 households
  • that there is a real, hidden need in this community

  • They are a registered charity for income tax purposes. 
  • In addition to food, they offer clothing and small housewares in good repair. 
  • Our main source of food is Food4All, operated by Northumberland County. 
  • They must supplement this with monetary and food donations from individuals, churches, service clubs and companies
